What size are the Fine Art Prints and what exactly do the dimensions refer to?
Fine Art Print sizes vary depending on the Prints. All dimensions are available on the Online Gallery and under each image description. All image sizes (the colouored surface of the paper excluding white border) are in millimetres and also converted to inches.

Why are your Fine Art Prints hand-signed?
Tony only produces a limited number of Fine Art Prints and signs them personally. Once all numbers have been sold, the same image cannot be reproduced or reprinted. This ensures the Fine Art Print will maintain its value and increase in value over time.

What quality are the Fine Art Prints?
All of our Fine Art Prints are of archival quality. Paper and inks qualities are of very high standard. Tony has over 15 years of experience in Screenprinting - he always ensures that his Fine Art Prints are beautifully printed with minimal error. He does not sell any of his Prints if he thinks they do not meet the highest possible standard.

What is a Limited Edition Print?
Tony specialises only in Limited Edition Fine Art Screenprints (Prints). These are handmade and in themselves are a highly regarded means of artistic expression. This type of print has been produced throughout art history by such masters as Rembrandt, Renoir, Picasso and in more modern times Andy Warhol. A high degree of skill and direct involvement are required from the artist when producing these works. There are a number of different types of Fine Art Print such as Screenprinting, Etching, Lithography, Woodcut, Linocut and Collagraph.

His Fine Art Prints begin as a detailed painting on board from which each individual colour is hand separated by him. These separations become the stencils on the screens through which each colour is printed. Some Prints have up to 25 individually printed colours. The printing process involves careful alignment and registration and constant checking for quality problems. The colours are hand-mixed and give the image a very real handmade feel and quality. A true Limited Edition Fine Art Print will also be limited to one Edition, each being numbered and signed individually by the Artist. Once the Edition has sold out it should not be repeated otherwise the value of the works is compromised. Tony subscribes to single edition productions only. This is what gives the work value over time. A full Edition set of Prints will contain a number of Artist's Proofs or A/Ps. These are the initial works when colours and registration are tested and can number up to 10% of the Edition. If we only have A/Ps left of some Prints, it will be stated in their description page. If you have any queries about Tony's technique, please do not hesitate to contact him. Museums and Art Galleries around the world seek out the best Contemporary Fine Art Prints to add to their collections.

What is an AP or Artist's Proof?
A full Edition set of Prints will contain a number of Artist's Proofs or A/Ps. These are the initial works when colours and registration are tested and can number up to 10% of the Edition. If we only have A/Ps left for some Prints, it will be stated in their description page. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries about the above.

Do you sell reproductions?
Absolutely not. Tony wishes to clarify the confusion between a Limited Edition Fine Art Print and a reproduction print. The definition of a reproduction is an image produced by photographic mass production techniques such as those used to print posters and glossy magazines. Digitally generated photographic 'art' also falls into this category. The handmade component is absent in the above cases. Many designers and artists claim to produce Limited Edition Prints such as giclee prints but these are not of the Fine Art variety as explained above.

Do you do picture framing, blockmounting etc?
No. All Fine Art Prints are unframed and unmounted for ease of transport. If ordering around the Auckland area we can recommend our preferred Framer and we can deliver directly to them if desired.

How will my order be packed?
Aloha Piha guarantees that your Fine Art Print will reach you in perfect condition. All Fine Art Prints are carefully packed in tissue paper and encased in sturdy cardboard mailing tubes. All orders are sent through New Zealand Post's CourierPost or Parcel Post network or by Air Mail. We also use Extra Insurance to protect you from damage whilst in transit. And remember, we ship FREE anywhere in the world!

What can you do if my purchase is for a gift?
Tony Ogle's Fine Art Prints are the perfect gift for any occasion. He can include a personal message if you wish and will giftwrap at no extra cost. Add the print or prints you want to send as a gift to your shopping cart and let us know the recipient's details at checkout time.

How do I unpack and store my Fine Art Prints?
Fine Art Prints should be stored flat if possible. The prints will have been very loosely rolled and should spring open to nearly flat. If necessary they can be "de-curled" completely by being placed on a clean and flat surface and held down by weights (eg some books) for 24 hours. We recommend your Fine Art Prints get framed as soon as possible by a reputable framer. We can also recommend an Auckland based framer if purchasing near the Auckland region.

What types of frames look best with Tony Ogle's Fine Art Prints?
We recommend a square edged modern frame, either in white, dark charcoal or black with a deep mount the same colour as the print paper. It is very important that the right frame is chosen to complement the Fine Art Print.

Are the colours of the prints/posters exactly the same as I can see on-screen?
Not exactly the same - all monitors are different. But the Fine Art Prints will look better than they do on screen as screen images are of a very low resolution.
